A warm welcome awaits all visitors at one of Hay-on-Wye's most popular restaurants.

The Old Black Lion is renowned for the quality of its food and has received recognition and accolade over a number of years from various organisations. The menus, which are changed frequently, use the best of local produce wherever possible including local meat, fish; delivered daily from Cardiff market and seasonal vegetables.

The team at the Old Black Lion are now preparing for the annual Hay Festival of Literature which in 2012 celebrates its 25th year. Our festival menu is now available; advance booking for lunch and evening meals is strongly advised.

Hours of evening service are extended over the festival period to accommodate early and late meals.
