Hay-on-Wye
is now renowned as the world's largest second hand book centre
with the annual Hay
Festival featuring as a literary highlight each year.
The area is also renowned for outdoor pursuits and is a mecca
for walkers using the Wye Valley and Offas Dyke Path both of
which pass through the town.
Fishing and canoeing on the River Wye, Pony Trekking through
the hills and many other outdoor activities.
